Just Turn It Off.
A simple vacation from your devices is enough to sometimes feel like you’ve taken a relaxing hiatus from life. It feels like every hour there is a new alert, we can accidentally spend too much energy grasping and obsession over our current situation. Without the distractions of texting, Snapping, and reading endless emails, your brain will get the mental detox it so deeply deserves. Turn those phones and laptops off and truly vacay.
Turn Up The Tunes.
Make yourself a chill playlist to get you in the mood to veg out or get playful. A lot of us are finding comfort in the kitchen, it might be good to create a list to let loose and dance in your kitchen too while you cook! Personally I have a “Mm” playlist I unwind to while I cook up my nightly meals! But to make this feel even more like a treat, pick a theme and put together a playlist to match. Personally I love a little Latin flavor for the kitchen but a good ukulele vibe may be all you need to transport you to the beaches of Maui.
Order in the most delicious dinner local delivery, get our your face mask and/or run yourself an indulgently long and warm bath and soak in some lovely lavender Epsom salts and essential oils. Personally I am loving Mitchell’s Medicinals CBD topical ointment at the moment. Whatever your pleasure, give yourself all the creature comforts you would indulge in while on a vacation.
Have a movie marathon.
All those films you’ve been dying to watch? Give yourself the luxury of tucking in and enjoying your very own film festival. Pop some double butter popcorn and make it feel like an event…in your cozies, of course.
Indulge in simple pleasures.
We often forget the little gestures that hotels make when you are away. Be it spa water (with sliced cucumbers in it), extra cozy slippers, plush bathrobes, perfectly crisp and ironed sheets; all of these elements can make your humble abode feel like a boutique hotel.
